Just a day in the life..
"I don't care about you and your bullshit. I've managed people for 15
years, and I've heard it all. Your mom died? Really? You used
all your sick time 3 months ago. Go to counseling and stop using it as an
excuse to leave work early to go screw your not-so-secret work girlfriend.
Baby sick? Wow, that sucks, I had to send my kid to school today with a
runny nose so I could come here and listen to your BS. Oh, you can't talk
to customers cuz you're so sick? Just whispering doesn't mean you lost
your voice. Can't get up to come to work? Too f-ing bad- I am taking
four classes in school, working 60 hours a week, and participating in and
running a derby league- another full time job. And I am married with a
kid. If I can do all that, you can roll your ass out of bed at 7 am 5 days
a week. I was up at 3:30, jackass."
It goes a little something like that. And yes, those are all things
I've said out loud to people at work. I'm HR's worst nightmare, yet I've
learned in all my time in work just how far I can go. I was called a
Heartless Bitch to my face twice in the past week. Eh. You either
take me or you don't.
