The reason I deserve to be admitted
to the Heartless Bitches is that I'm confident enough to know myself, by which I
mean to have faced those personal demons of self-pity that most people never
bother to look in the face. I take responsibility for my actions and if those
actions are unethical, self-destructive or destructive to the lives of
others whether in large or small ways I deal with it, accept the blame and move
on.
This does not mean that I allow
others to use me as their personal punching bag. I simply deal with the
consequences of my own actions and expect others to do the same, no one has the
right to treat anyone else like a doormat, no matter how entitled they think
they are. Unfortunately, not everyone has come to this same point in their
logic. And sometimes we have to deal with the professional victims and the
compulsive brutes, which all too often happen to be the same people, when we
have to deal with those people I think it's best to avoid associating with them
as much as possible. If they take offense, we can't do much about it. Just hope
they take the clue.
