In my 26 years of limited experiences, I have come to realize a few valuable things about life, at least from my own viewpoint. Number one: I always want to be a self-sufficient person. I will never marry for money or feel entitled to anything without an adequate amount of hard work put in.
Number two: People may love you or people may hate you, but when it comes down to it, the only opinion that really matters is the one you have about yourself. Without self-love and self-respect, all the praise in the world is useless.
And number three: Beauty is something that can be a blessing or a burden. One can, at times, use it to their advantage. But if you base all your self-worth on your appearance, what happens to you when it fades? Beauty is not a talent, it's genetic. It's luck. And it's all in the eye of the beholder. Eventually, all beauty will fade. People need to take the time to nurture more than just their thirst for being the thinnest/most beautiful/sexiest.
These are some of the things that I have deemed important for myself to know. I can't make others believe me. And who's to say I'm right? The older I get, the more I realize that I know about almost nothing about most things. But I believe in myself. I respect myself. I really like myself. And I have absolutely no regrets about the person I have become.
