I don't believe feminism (as in believing in equal rights for women) is something that goes in and out of fashion.
I have to leave the room when perfume adverts are shown on the television. I do NOT identify with a vapid, vacant eyed, plastered-with-make-up actress swanning around a plastic, candy-coloured Cinderella set and it does not make me want to buy an outrageously over-priced bottle of stink water.
I think that the difference between individuals is greater than the difference between the sexes.
I do not like shopping and I do not have an obsession with shoes. I refuse to read gossip, beauty and celebrity mags. I will not spend a single dollar on perpetuating that revolting industry.
Do not try to sell me your over-priced, pore clogging makeup and lie about how good it is for my skin, its all bullshit and I don't appreciate being taken for a fool.
Two thousand dollar handbags make me furious, sometimes I shout 'emperors new clothes!' at women (usually after a glass of wine or two). Spend money on quality and craftsmanship, give it to the artists not to a label that's going to make some huge tacky company even more wealthy for very little effort.
Posh and Palin make me want to tear my hair out. A woman who is a strutting shrunken head and a proudly inarticulate manikin should not be held up and celebrated in this world.
