I'm a Heartless Bitch because I value intelligence, empathy, and creativity more than the latest $1,000 handbag. I have no respect for people who are not only stupid, generic, and superficial, but are also very obviously proud of these qualities. I will not act like a nitwit just to make someone else feel more comfortable; I will kick your ass at scrabble no matter how hot you are, and if that turns you off, then you no longer interest me anyway.

It is still a struggle to stand up for myself--it is not always a knee-jerk reaction. But perhaps that is because I think about things thoroughly and deeply, and come to think of it, I wouldn't give that quality up to become the Reigning Queen of Self-Righteousness.

Stupid girls, I will scoff at you if you say "well, I don't really read, teehee, but I love US Weekly!" and if you are using a word incorrectly, I will tell you its meaning. Stupid boys, I will not laugh politely at your racist or misogynistic joke, and I will not flush with shame when you tell me I am overreacting.
