I am a Heartless Bitch because I embrace leading a happy, guilt free, independent life. I do not put up with manipulative behavior from the men or women in my life and I don't try to manipulate them. I try to achieve my goals using my own imagination, creativity and intelligence.

When faced with sexist, derogatory, racist, homophobic, or other unacceptable attitudes and behavior I do not shy away "because that's the way people are" or because "one person can't change anything" neither do I use aggressive tactics to force people to agree with me. I challenge those attitudes using the knowledge I can and to the best of my ability. If I don't have the knowledge that I need then I will endeavor to gain access to it, or admit that I don't have the answer, but that I am not willing to put up with unacceptable behavior or attitudes.

One of the things that really gets my Heartless shackles up is the old "I'm not a feminist but..." statements. This is usually followed by a rather long rant, and the occasional "steam blowing from nostrils" look that I am so fond of.

I have been searching for an entertaining, informative, funny, creative website to read and contribute to and this site has been a revelation.
