I wouldn't have used "Heartless Bitchiness" as a positive trait,
until I stumbled on the site (via, most likely, another person's feminist
rants). Then I saw "Heartless Bitches" defined as regular people - decent
realists who "get" the world - and I recognize myself in that.
I don't tell lies, including "white" lies (that doesn't mean being honest
in a rude way, civility is something I value). While I am told I am "kind"
(which means I have enough courtesy/humanity to pay attention to my fellow
conscious animals, and understand that we are not to be judged on a different
scale, no matter their physical or social characteristics), they quickly turn to
the "cruel, Heartless" qualifiers when we happen to disagree (as I tend to be
argumentative), or when they ask me to validate them and I refuse to go with the
"pat on the back" approach.
I don't Bitch about idiots ; I Bitch about idiots who don't want to learn.
Ignorance is curable, self-righteousness isn't. I don't hate anyone nor do I
think hate leads anywhere. I think knowing why you believe in something is more
important than believing in "the right thing", just as knowing why you make your
decisions is more valuable than never making mistakes. I make mistakes a lot, as
well - not sure that makes me a Heartless Bitch, but I am not afraid of making
them (once.).
