To me, being a Heartless Bitch is about actually giving a shit about what's happening around me, be it on a personal, local, or even global scale.

It's about not being afraid to stand up and speak out when something isn't right.

It's about rejecting the simpering, vapid stereotype that reduces all women to body parts and taking intellectual and moral ownership of myself.

It means tackling my own mistakes and prejudices head on and admitting my own bias without fear.

It's holding myself to the same standard to which I hold everyone else and subjecting myself to the same intellectual scrutiny to which I would subject anyone else.

And it's about not being afraid to stumble along the way. We all fuck up. It's practically an ironclad guarantee. What differentiates Heartless Bitches from the crowd is that the Heartless Bitch will have the integrity to admit and learn from her mistake, get up off her ass, and move on to the next challenge.
