Because I Teach Critical Honesty

I am a high school French teacher in a small rural southern town. I teach my students to find the hidden agendas behind the words, music, movies, articles and proposals directed at them.

I teach them to ask critical questions of their parents, their friends and their teachers.

I teach them to be fearless and to make noise, in whatever language works for them.

I teach the girls to be prepared to support themselves and their dreams and to not be derailed by others expectations.

I am a model for them- after a long traditional marriage, I divorced my husband because of his infidelity. (Why troll the net looking for middle-aged women who want sex when you already have one at home?)

I earned a Masters Degree and got a real job. As far as being Heartless- thanks to Spectersoft and a good lawyer I got the house, the property and kept the respect of my children. To quote my friend Roy: "I'm gonna do what I gotta do. Its my ass and I'm gonna wipe it".
