I can't stand spineless complainers. Unfortunately, I work in an area of the pharmaceutical industry that is densely populated with these asshats. I'm very sorry to say that most of them are women who are my age, are married and all they can think of is having another child. They tell me this right after they complain about their husbands not helping with the house or the kids, how they have huge amounts of credit card debt, their daycare costs are through the roof, they never have free time with their husbands and how a baby will make things better. I cannot believe these twits made it out of college. And my usual reply to these women are: "Have your tubes tied, leave your husband and put up your kids up for adoption. If those options aren't palatable to you, then stop complaining about bullshit that you allow to continue, and start being responsible for your own happiness." I'm very glad to say that I am now a home-based employee and rarely have to deal with people like this.
However, I do have to deal with a manager who thinks I travel too much (I travel for work.) Said manager asked me what my husband thought of my heavy travel schedule. I said, "Why in the world would I give a damn about what my husband thinks of my job? As long as the checks are made out to me and go into my very separate bank account, my husband gets absolutely no say in my professional life."
