I'm a mid-forties Heartless Bitch. Heartless Bitching, like
fine wine, gets better (and funner) with age. So Bitch On, mighty sisters
(or brothers) in Bitchosity! She who Bitches loudest can indeed Bitch
proudest!
Women who are over forty are devalued not just because our boobies aren't
perky anymore (though that's what they'll tell you to get you to hate your own
body all the more), but also because the Bitchier of us no longer give a rat's
ass about what the rest of the world thinks of who we are or how we look.
At all. It's freeing, joyful, self-possessing.
It's downright Bitch-o-riffic.
I've been a Heartless Bitch for all of my adult life, but I suspect there
was a Baby Heartless Bitch in me from the moment I emerged from the womb and
entered Bitchily into the world, kicking and screaming. Some things never
change. I am the kind of Heartless Bitch who enjoys being seen AND heard -
because I'm just fucking amazing, I amaze myself every day - as every good Bitch
should. I am a boisterous Heartless Bitch and I love that about
myself. Many people love that about me, although not all (fools - all of
them!). I am here to please me first, then I may choose to please whomever
I should feel inclined toward - or not.
I used to try to please those who were hard to please - those who I now
(dis)affectionately call "colossal infants". Every Heartless Bitch has
known a few of these - they instinctively migrate toward us because we have
something they sorely lack - testicular fortitude. Colossal infants whine
when they don't get their way, and they expect others to fix it. They
blame others when things don't go just how they want. They marinate in
misery because life isn't fair, life isn't perfect. Right, right, right,
life isn't perfect - but a Heartless Bitch knows to enjoy it anyway! It's
the essence of Heartless Bitchery to enjoy ourselves and our experiences, and I
do it every moment of every day - without apologies.
Peace and love are best served with a big, strong, healthy dose of
Heartless Bitchosity. The world needs us now more than ever. Bitch
on!
