I am not here to be responsible for anybody's actions and reactions except my own. In my friendships and relationships I value honesty and integrity - I will not dumb something down or hold something back if it needs to be said and I expect the exact same thing back from others.

I am tired of people hiding their true feelings for the fear that it might just offend someone, as if that were the worst thing in the world. I'm learning that I can't please everyone all the time, but if I am staying true to myself then it doesn't matter what others think.

I'm sick of people pussy-footing around each other in case they actually express an opinion strongly enough that they can't take it back if somebody objects to it. I want to stand up and say "This is me! If you don't like it, go somewhere else!"

Life is too short to let others bring you down.
