Why I am a Heartless Bitch (in under 300 words):
1. I earn respect (and sometimes a little fear).
2. I do not need anyone to take care of me. I earn my own money, pay my own
bills, and play my own way.
3. I have a large circle of friends and family that would do anything for
me. They in turn know I would do anything for them. They also know not to come
to me when they have made an absolutely asinine fuck-up they need a fix for, or
to whine about something they have the power to change.
4. Yes, I got the promotion. This is because I am intellectually superior
to you, I work harder than you, and I do a better job than you, NOT because I am
more attractive than you or because I kiss ass. I have a more interesting job
than you do and I make more money than you do. Deal with it.
5. I have perfected "the look". It has been known to strike terror into the
hearts of many who thought they could push me around, make me do something not
in my best interests (but in their own of course), or direct a degrading, and/or
moronic, and/or fucking offensive remark in my direction. The look is most often
followed with a razor sharp remark designed to make the offending him or her
want to crawl under a rock and DIE.
6. If the same person asks me one more time how to make dot leaders in Word
(after having taken the course three times) I will jam my pen in her eye and
listen to her scream (don't call the police...it's just a fantasy...for
now).
