I am a person and expect to be treated like one. More importantly, I speak up when I'm not. I used to base my self-esteem on if guys slept with me, but I woke up and never looked back. I became the girl who said "Okay, but I'm not going to have sex with you" when a guy asked me to dance. I told guys to back up when they were obviously making another girl uncomfortable on the subway. I work so hard to empower all the girls I meet, I am known as the girl who breaks up relationships. People equating empowerment with sabotaging relationships says something horrible about society. We need more people working on this front and less people selling magazines and diet pills. Awesome idea to band us all together here!
