Perhaps not so much a Heartless Bitch as a male Bitch supporter, I decided to apply because I definitely do agree with every one of the checked statements on the home page. (With a minor change from the second person part of guys hitting on "you", since I'm not usually the target of male advances.)
Basically, I am sick of societal expectations of what "romance" and "relationships" are supposed to be, and am even more fed up with people (of either sex) who feel entitled to something because they (think they) conform to that expectation. The kind of "nice" guy who pretends to be sensitive primarily (or entirely) in the eventual hope of getting fucked (in the positive way) tends to piss me off more than women who play the victim or who keep ending up with asshole guys. But this is not because I think the latter are any less stupid than the former, since they often have the very same sorts of misconceptions and emotional issues. Rather, I simply find it easier to just ignore that kind of woman than to ignore that type of man. Perhaps its because, by being someone who tries to genuinely give a shit about other people, asshole "nice" guys with no relationship luck sometimes mistake me for someone who might be sympathetic to their "plight".
Other things that anger me include the completely uncritical acceptance of any belief, whether it's one I also happen to agree with or not. If you haven't even thought your position through yourself, don't come to me expecting to find agreement. I will see through your mindless acceptance and I will call you out on it. Playing the devil's advocate isn't something I just do to be a smartass (though I have been known to do it for precisely that reason, at times, since we all need to have fun from time to time). It's something I do to get you to fucking think about what you're saying before you come to me (or anyone else), trying to spread your mindless drivel around.
I also get pissed off by people who avoid using the word feminist for themselves because of what people with completely opposing beliefs have decided it means. I would no more deny that I am pro-feminist because of what some asshole fundamentalist like Pat Robertson thinks of the word, as I would deny that I am from the United States (and support the main ideals on which it was founded, notwithstanding what decisions certain administrations have made) because of what some asshole fundamentalist like bin Laden says that means.
