My friends sometimes tell me how brave I am because I'm not afraid to say no to a guy. They say that they're always too worried about sounding rude. Listen up-- if someone's making you uncomfortable, or scaring you, or putting you down, WHY would you ever worry if they thought you were a nice person? If I'm in trouble I don't mince around in my designer heels waiting for a big strong man to come and protect me; I wear steel-toed boots and kick. Hard.

I don't put up with crap from people, and I won't sacrifice who I am to be liked. I think that's why I've never had a boyfriend, and I'm okay with that-- a lot of guys don't like how I give my honest opinion and will stand by what I think, and I'm not going to date anyone who likes my breasts better than they like my brain. If they want someone to protect, they can take their pick; there's plenty of girls who want nothing more in life than to be a pretty little doormat, but I'm not one of them, and I'm proud of it.
