While in line at the pharmacy, the woman in front of me gave her name and prescription to the pharmacist, then said "I'm sorry". The unwarranted apology hung in the air. (This recalled memories of a co-worker that often began her sentences with "No offense, but...".) I suddenly wanted to thrash this timid and emasculate woman about. I was too angry to see the opportunity I may have had to empower her, or at least point out her weak expression. I am too often easily angered. Instead of being critical and disgusted at feminine displays that have been drilled into our sex since the cradle, I want to learn to use my experience and knowledge to enable just one woman to find her voice. I am a self-centered Bitch that is evolving into more of a humanistic Bitch.
