and Damned Proud of it!

Brightsight

One day I realized that I was blaming myself and feeling bad for things I've done just to justify my actions. Somehow I gave myself permission to repeat doing things I knew was wrong in OTHER people's opinions, but then would beat myself up about my bad choices. I finally understood that _I_ didn't think I was wrong at all, and no matter what others might say or think. I decided that I would never again make excuses for myself and never blame myself for choices and actions just to please others, resulting in me making a victim and a loser of myself.

To "feel sorry" for someone is to make him or her "smaller" many times over, and I don't like that. Feeling bad for actions that may have hurt someone you love doesn't make it alright - to drown in your own guilt is not what heals your friend - try to be better next time, be a friend and listen. However, no one gets stronger if you carry their burden FOR them, or tell them how heavy YOUR shit is.

I've been told so many times that I am Heartless and manipulating - but if I KNOW that my way is the best way and manage to describe it so others understand and agree, it's not manipulative - and they should THANK me for it!
