I'm a Heartless Bitch because I am a successful business owner and I am married a man who likewise has his own business. Though happily married and definitely partners in life, we do NOT file joint tax returns, do not have a any joint bank accounts, and keep our assets separate. His earnings are his, my earnings are mine. I actually like it this way and am not concerned at all that should the day come when we are no longer together (through death or some other way), I will be able to sustain my standard of living without my partner. Oh, did I tell you we live in a community property state and in order to actually make this legal, I had to sue my husband and he was all for it? Yep, I'm a Heartless Bitch and I'm proud of it and there is no excuse for any woman not to know how to take care of herself, married or single.
