Oh, where do I begin? I'm a scientist at Harvard, and that takes a lot of cojones to begin with. I'm also from New York (you know, The City), and when I moved to New England I was quite often taken for a Heartless Bitch. Ironically, I'm actually a pretty nice person, above average I think, I'm just honest and direct and have little patience for fools (and tend to use a fair amount of profanity to make my point). I don't know why so many people have never seen this in a woman before. A lot of people find this off-putting or, maybe worse, fetishistically attractive. I think every year of my professional life I've had to deal with some other scientist who has decided an affair with me is something they must have to spice up their lives. These types have a lot of trouble taking no for an answer.
