Nikki
I just discovered this website, and it got me to thinking about all
the reasons I have been called a Bitch in my life.
I've been called a Bitch at work for refusing to play wife, girlfriend,
nanny and maid; for insisting that my sex life is personal and nobody else's
fucking business, for not coddling my male counterpart's pathetically gentle
male egos, and for *gasp* actually being able to do my job as well as any man
and not apologizing for it.
I've been called a Bitch in my personal life for not fucking someone I
don't want to fuck, and for fucking someone I want to fuck. I've been called a
Bitch for politely but firmly letting a guy know that his advances weren't
reciprocated, and for refusing to give out sexual favors and pats to the head
free for all, anything with a penis served. I've been called a Bitch for telling
the truth about how I feel, refusing to do things I don't want to do, and for
asserting my right as a human being to do so.
Before I came to this website, I really didn't like being called a Bitch. I
used to think that it was playing into the male need for dominance, and that by
calling myself a Bitch I was only affirming that stereotype.
But after writing out the reasons that I have been called a Bitch and
evaluating what a Bitch is nowadays, I have decided that I'm damn well proud to
call myself a Bitch. A Bitch, as defined by our society, apparently is a woman
who is strong, honest, and refuses to bow to stereotypes as to what she should
or shouldn't do, simply because of the genes one was born with. Now that I've
listed my reasons for deciding that yes, I AM A BITCH...
Can I have a card to go with it?
