I want to be a member because I love this website. Since you ask for gender below, I am hoping membership is open to modern males as well.

I'm a single dad of a wonderful daughter. I never considered equal rights because I have always treated women as equals, so I just assumed everyone else did, save for the abusers. Since having a daughter, I have become more aware of women's issues and in particular, how the average male treats women.

I am very concerned with how girls are portrayed on the Disney shows my daughter watches can affect her. I don't want my daughter to grow up to be some guys' doormat. Or be abused. I want my daughter to get a good education so she doesn't have to have a man to support her, so she can be independent in her own right. I would be very upset if she was paid less than a man if she was as or more qualified as he was.
