I am a single mom who has been in school for almost 12 years
(currently a PhD student in Biomolecular Science). I choose to stay single
- I choose to not ask for child support - I choose to strive for excellence - I
choose to rise to the top of the dogpile - I choose to set a positive role model
for my daughter and other females. I take responsibility for my choices and for
the consequences that they beget. I do not rely on any man to support, validate
or "accent/accessorize" my life. Nor any other person, for that matter. I can
look back on my life and say, "Damn woman, you kicked some serious ass - against
fucking crazy odds!" I also hope that I can help inspire other women to do so as
well.
