Lola
First, please note that I'm French so I might not write English as well as I should, but I got to try.
My mother (who'll be 50 in 3 weeks) discovered your website about a month ago. She also discovered (thanks to you) that her ex-boyfriend used to look very like an abusive. But she didn't run away because he was almost dead. Now that he is, she's exploring the male psychology to find out how not to attract those type of men. Because my father was...no.. IS an abusive too, but a lot more than my ex-step father who always had the descent not to be abusive toward me.
So, I'm going to be 19 in 4 weeks and my actual boyfriend, who's the first one I really care about (in fact, I'm truly in love) is a Heartless Bitch. And I just figured out (thanks to you x 2) that when I met him almost 2 years ago, I was really on the good way to become the perfect abusive girlfriend. But he noticed the first signs and he tried not to make me feel that I was like that, never letting me down, and teaching me that what was really important in life was the most simple things. But the most important thing to say to a more or less abusive lover is that:
You don't have to TRY to change, you'll never manage if you just TRY. It's like a "declic", someday, you simply UNDERSTAND.
He was right. Love has to be a simple thing to be beautiful, if it's too complicated, it'll only result in headaches.
Now, I can proudly say that I'm turning to be a Heartless Bitch too.
