I'm a Heartless Bitch because the answer "That's just the way it is" isn't good enough for me. I also don't accept "because I said so" or "just because." Why? Because those aren't answers; at best, they're excuses. The only thing it proves when someone answers a question with "that's just the way it is" is that there is no logical explanation, and for me, that just won't cut it. The fact that it's always been that way doesn't make it right, and it certainly doesn't make it the best way to proceed.
I have had it up to HERE with people who don't seem to know how to do anything but make excuses. If you don't like the way things are going for you, then do something about it. I've been down your road before. Waiting for someone else to make something happen is a waste of time; if you want the job done at ALL, much less the right way, you'd better get it done yourself before you look back and realize you have spent too long waiting.
As for this idiotic notion people seem to have that acting miserable will make them happy, give me a break. Prince Charming isn't going to come riding out of the dust to save you if you cry loud enough; more likely, you'll attract a bear. So excuse me if I don't stick around when the topic of your "cutting" habits (a.k.a. those pencil scratches you gave yourself last night to seem "cool") comes up. I'm not interested in hearing about all the problems you never intend to fix.
I don't believe that love is always the answer to everything. I'm sixteen and I've never even been kissed - and so far, it has worked far better for me than dating random strangers that I've never exchanged more than two words with before. I know who I am and who I want to be, and neither of those things depends on someone else to make it happen.
I don't think we should just let things lie just because we're doing better as a society. I rail against the senseless and the illogical, against bigotry, stupidity, and the things people think that make them act in a prejudiced and/or cruel way. I don't believe in delegating on this one, because if I can't bring myself to do the right thing, what is there to make me think someone else will?
I'm a Heartless Bitch because I have a personality, and I don't need permission to keep it. This is me, and if you don't like it, you can just fuck off because it's my decision to make - NOT yours. I am smart, strong, and independent, and if that makes me a Bitch, then so be it. At least I'm not afraid to be myself.
