I've been called a Heartless Bitch for dropping friends who belong in one of the following three categories:

1.Needy Clingy Whiners (the women who refused to listen to my not-so-subtle hints that as a new mom, I can no longer indulge their "I need to talk to you on the phone for five straight hours about a guy who wouldn't sleep with me/how fat I am/How drunk I got last night" needs). My response to a needy friend last month was "Get yourself to a therapist-I can't let you waste my time anymore".

2. Deliriously Self-Involved (The men and women who talk my damn ear off about themselves and their every move). To these ex-friends I have simply stated "It seems as though you're a bit too vain. Perhaps you would like to substitute me with a mirror. Take care, though, when the mirror finally breaks itself away from you."

3.The World Is Over - (The men and women who assume the universe is cracking apart because they have a hangover). These people were too worried about the state of their horrendous affairs that they didn't notice my goodbye.

Having dropped the above-mentioned people from my daily life, I can now indulge myself in the things and people I truly adore. And I make no apologies for leaving others behind. My life is rich in family and love...what do I need with the people who once made my life difficult?
