Because I am the type that will get up and walk out on a man, no matter where we are or what the occasion, if he starts acting like the Neanderthal jerk that lurks deep in the hearts of all men. And I've been known to pull over on the side of the road in a torrential rainstorm and order a man out of my car because he made an offhand remark (complete with put-upon sigh and eye-rolling) that I sound "just like his ex-wife". I don't blame others for my shitty choices, and I'll be damned if I'll take the blame for theirs. You want a relationship with me? Fine....act like somebody, then....take responsibility for your own stupidity and don't expect me to help you carry your baggage. For god's sake, I wasn't even there, didn't contribute to it, so why should I have to listen to you moan endlessly about life's unfairness and the role I am supposed to play in it? You want to know what's unfair? That I should be expected to sit here and put up with your shit when I could be at home, tucked in the bed and reading a novel or surfing the Internet about something that's actually WORTH MY TIME. I swear to god, I have dust balls under my bed that are more interesting than 95% of the people I have to endure....
