... I have the compassion to be honest and upfront with people about things that may be uncomfortable or hard to hear. This usually relates to the band-aid principle: if it's hard to say it now, drawing out the pain with inconsistency and coddling will only make it worse and annoy the holy hell out of everyone around you.

... I have the intelligence to know when to keep my mouth closed and when to admit that I'm wrong, as much as it pains me to actually mutter those words to another human being.

... I have the confidence to know that I can make myself happy and that this is the only way to have a successful, healthy relationship. This also has the side effect of allowing me thick skin, as well as granting me the ability to appreciate what others do, rather than wallowing in a pile of Things They Didn't Do (Even Though I Never Actually Asked Them To).
