I'm a Heartless Bitch because I have habitually been underestimated intellectually. I am not a typical teen. I have taken specific actions through my youth to ensure my differentiability. To put it simply, I would rather discuss the views presented in America Alone (Mark Steyn) with my friends at Starbucks than go to a really awesome party.
The problem lies in the ignorance of the general population that youth are an homogenized culture that demands confomity to an arbitrary code of values (or lack thereof).
Thus, every action I take reflects the fact that if anyone mistakes me for a typical/normal/mediocre person, I will engage them in a battle of wits (and clever insults), systematically crush their self-esteem, and in doing so, will have verbally kicked their ass.
I will not blindly attack a person for not treating me like a god. However, if they are so ignorant that they feel inclined to stereotype me, I will not hesitate to educate them on their poor choice of ideologies by kicking them squarely in the shin (which has unfortunately happened). I've broken up with with a boyfriend for buying me a heavy-metal CD because according to his logic, "This band is so cool. Everyone loves this band. Even though my girlfriend is adverse to pop-culture, she still must love this band". These are just a few examples, but I've been crossed way too many times. This is pretty much why I'm a Heartless Bitch.
