I'm a Heartless Bitch because I pull my weight and don't wait for anyone, male or female, to do things I can do for myself. For the past 2 and a half years I have been one of only two female emergency medics in my district. This means that I've been expected to be tougher, faster, smarter, and take less s**t than my male counterparts. Anything less would get me labeled as "cute but useless". I do every bit as much as the male members of the squad, earning their respect with half their body mass. Yet I still have to deal with about twice the sexist crap: I do not "Play Nurse", no I will NOT give you "mouth to mouth" and no, I do NOT want to "kiss it and make it better".

Last week I tied a drunk, combative wife-beater to a board while he told me I should behave like a "real woman, not a Bitch". My partner Mike just grinned at him and said "this Bitch just took your sorry ass down!" And I loved every minute of making sure that he'll never get near another woman ever again.
