I am called a Heartless Bitch, but it is always by people who have tried to take advantage of me or my family unsuccessfully. I can be blunt, but I believe manners should be used when they accomplish the job of communicating. Unfortunately, a real parasite will sidestep a nice way of talking so that it is necessary to be blunt. If a tenant stands there and tells me they don't have the rent while they are smoking a cigarette and/or drinking a beer, they will certainly end up thinking I am Heartless.

I believe in helping people. I increase my own level of success when the people around me are also successful. I do not believe in helping people that do not want to be helped. The neighbor who wants to tell me how bad her live-in boyfriend treats her, and how bad his parents (whom they live with) treat her, yet who doesn't want to do anything about it, will think me Heartless when I tell her to change the subject or not talk to me.

Life is so much more enjoyable when you concentrate on living it and not giving time and energy to those who invite troubles for the martyr value.
