Some people would consider me a Heartless Bitch because I can't STAND it when guys gawk at me at a bar, walk over to me, and expect me to just accept their "Can I buy you a drink?" offer. People think it's Bitchy of me to not be accepting of their compliments. Sometimes I actually accept the drink (just the drink) and walk away, that ALWAYS earns me more Bitch points! but hey, he DID offer...didn't he? He didn't say that I had to hang out with him if he bought me the drink...
Anyway, there are many other things that people give me shit for. Like ignoring cat calls, excuse me? I was not aware that I was supposed to acknowledge a guy's sad excuse for a pick-up line. As if I would actually turn around walk up to him and say "Oh! you big strong man, what tact you have! YES, I will go out with you!". Common, give me a freaking break.
I HATE cooking. That's just how I am, and I CAN'T STAND sewing. I have had guys try and tell me to sew their pants and cook them dinner. HA! fat chance buddy, looks like you're going to have to re-enroll in the local high school and take home economics again, because I am NO holly home-maker. I am so sick of people that still think women's places are in the kitchen or at home with children. This is 2007, men and women are considered EQUAL as far as I am concerned. But, even still men make more and are given more opportunities in some areas in the workforce and elsewhere.
I suppose that some might call it being a Heartless Bitch, but some might say it's just me standing up for my rights. whatever anyone calls it, I know that it's right and I won't back down, now or at any time in the future. I only wish that more women were able to stand up for themselves like I do.
