I'm a Heartless Bitch because I used to be a "nice girl." The thing about being "nice" is, you attract needy losers. One day I snapped and took everyone by surprise. I was "nice" for far, far to long- mainly because I had a good childhood, a good family etc etc and felt sorry for people weren't so "lucky". That lasted until I turned 30, started law school and started dating the most useless, manipulative wanker on the planet. The competitiveness of law school and emotionally nursing a totally manipulative jerk along while trying to be nice and happy and... fake eventually became way too much- and I just stood back one day and said "Fuck everyone if you don't like it, but this is about ME." I stopped being "nice" and just let whatever the hell I felt at that moment OUT, because I didn't have the time to deal with other people's crap.

Three years later, I have worked my ass of to get where I am and have realized that by 30, people make their own "luck" and screw 'em if they can't hack the real world, have learned to keep my good friends and my family close and watch my back with everyone else, and choose my relationships wisely and with high standards.

P.S. I think the emotionally draining wanker is still wondering what the hell happened.
