I don't accept excuses for shitty behavior, including my own. It especially ticks me off when people try to use biology to excuse themselves:

"I'm hardwired to cheat on my partner."

"So you're hardwired to be a spineless piece of shit?"

I take responsibility for my mistakes (and I've made my share). I don't believe that anyone owes me anything. It annoys me when people talk as if others had some sort of obligation to be attracted to them or to the traits they consider important.

Finally, I stand up for my convictions, but I don't let myself come down to the level of personal attacks or casual dismissal. I always try to focus on taking the argument offered and rationally refuting it.
