I am a Heartless Bitch because I decided long ago that I would be. It took me a long time to work my way from pampered-princess-ness to a woman who can handle her own shit, and looking back it is quite easy to see that the people who did my thinking were usually the ones who could barely think for themselves. (And while I am ashamed of letting them/wasting so much time, I am proud of my ascend. Or, at least managing to crawl out from under the slimy rock of cluelessness. Or evolving.)

I'm (now/finally) a Heartless Bitch because I work as hard as I can, regardless of whether it makes the people I work with look worse or not, because I have a fully functioning brain and choose to use it, because I don't smile for sexist men or laugh at their pathetic jokes or stroke their ego. I'm a Heartless Bitch because I'm in control of my life, and I neither need nor seek other people's approval. And I'm cool. Way cool.
