Why am I a Heartless Bitch? I'm a Heartless Bitch because I come from
a long line of tough women and strong men who taught me to stand up and be who I
am despite what world tells me my proper place is. I learned a long time ago
that the only way to live is by doing what you will and paying the price for it.
I'm a wife, a mother of two and yet I do not believe that having procreated
validates me as a woman. Validation is the same for both sexes. It comes from
working hard and doing something with your life. I'm a hard headed activist who
absolutely believes that asking questions and holding both myself and my
government accountable for the actions taken in the name of the American people
is both my right and my responsibility.
I'm part of a strong healthy
relationship with a man who understands that without respect, love cannot exist.
I'm fucking sick of men and women alike who believe that love conquers all and
that love is enough to make a relationship work. I'm sick and tired of feminists
who counter everything women have worked for by demanding stupid shit like
separate fire fighter tests.
I'm desperately tired of hearing religious dogma
spouted every time someone asks a tough question concerning the current
governmental attitude and I'll be dammed if I let a right winged fascist like
George W. tells be what I can or can't do my body.
Being a Heartless Bitch is
about being strong and refusing to be sucked into the bullshit stereotypes
concerning both men and women, it's about standing up and demanding our right to
be our own person regardless of what's between our legs.
