Well, I'm not going to try to kid myself or you. I'm not sure I am a Heartless Bitch - I just strive to be. When I look around the women (and some of the men) I know, it's the Heartless Bitches who are happy, know what they're doing with themselves and their lives. Those who are brutally honest with others and - here's the key thing - themselves. They are the people I admire. I think it's perfectly reasonable that I should try to follow their example.
My reaction to stupid/willfully ignorant people is contained contempt. I contain it to avoid antagonizing them - there's no point getting into an argument with these people, they'll only claim they won or get bored and wander off. I fume silently at rudeness, do not pander to small people (that's all children are) any more than I do to fully-grown ones, and only with deepest resentment behave in a politically correct way. Behaving with respect for others is a joy to do and entirely different - it's all about motive.
I hope to be accepted, but it's your domain so I accept the chance of rejection. I'd still hang around and read the site though, if you don't mind.
So maybe I'm not a HB yet (I'm still within the age boundary that comes with the label saying 'hasn't-got-a-clue-what-she-is'), but if you feel like encouraging(or even just tolerating) an unformed mass of teenager with a desire to harden, here I am.
