I am a Heartless Bitch because I try my best each and every day, and I don't blame others if things don't go exactly my way. When I first came across HBI and read a few rants and articles, I felt like saying "So it's not just me, then?" Thank goodness there are other people out there who notice the subtle inequalities and the absurdities that exist in people and relationships.
I am sick of seeing so many people unhappy in their lives because they are dependant on others for their happiness. Before you love anyone, you have to love yourself. I believe that romance is hyped up far too much in our society. What I have realized is that any and every kind of love is just as valuable as romantic love. I don't need romantic love to feel good about myself, but if I do find it, it's an added bonus.
I doubt anyone is a Heartless Bitch every moment in their lives, and neither am I. But I try to be one for the majority of moments in my life, and I hope that qualifies me to be considered a Heartless Bitch. I hope that I can help and contribute to HBI, but if I am not accepted it's okay because my sense of self-worth isn't dependant on your opinion of me.
