Well, I ask for what I want. I don't enjoy drama - if I'm mad, I say something; if I don't get what I need, I look somewhere else. I came from a poor/messed up family, was the first to go to college and the only to graduate. I didn't like the place I was living so I moved half-way across the country to a city where I knew no one. I work hard at any job I have.

Unfortunately, coming from my messed up family, I tended to ignore my needs and allowed myself to be taken advantage of. In order to make my life better, I saw a psychologist for two years and came out much happier and healthier. I'm single and just recently got a kitty - she's the first "grandchild" in my family, and I'm proud that I've gotten to a point where I could take responsibility for another life. I'd like to get married, but more important to me is becoming the best person I can be and making sure the relationships in my life facilitate that. I guess that's it!
