While many other women would be offended at being labeled a "Heartless Bitch" it is a title I relish and readily claim as mine.
People have, in the past, wondered why I've failed to become upset or angry at being branded a "cold, Heartless Bitch". Well in my opinion, as labels/titles go, it's not a bad one at all. For every woman I've known to be referred to as such has been a strong, intelligent, opinionated and independent person worthy of much respect.
I'm not afraid to live my life as I see fit regardless of whether popular opinion is with me. I strive to stay true to myself, my conscience and my principles no matter what the cost. I revel in every achievement and yes, even every fuck up, be it inconsequential or monumental, because it means I am living and learning on my own terms.
Honestly, what is the point of living if you are simply going through the motions forcing yourself to be what others deem as acceptable? What is the point in parroting pleasantries at people you despise or staying in situations that make you unhappy because you're afraid of raising your voice and upsetting the balance? None whatsoever.
To me the term "Heartless Bitch" represents a person who is not afraid of hearing and speaking the truth. Because truth, be it harsh or kind, is always a teacher and we should never be afraid to learn.
