I believe that feminism is still alive and kickin' for those who aren't satisfied with the current state of women. Sure we've come a long way baby, but we've still got a long way to go. I grew up admiring Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan. In Grade 11 I did a project on Feminism and I remember my (male) teacher sitting at the back of the class dozing off while I put my heart and soul into my presentation. He even cut short a discussion at the end on what people thought about Feminism today. That was the day I realized it wasn't over.

I've experience prejudice over my belief in feminism and I know how important it is to stay strong. It's so easy to just give up and relinquish your rights as a fierce woman, but it's so much more satisfying to hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
