"I'm a Heartless Bitch because of the simple fact that I have always been a "Free Thinker". Instead of dreaming of white picket fences and a husband when I was little, I dreamed of being a soldier. I grew up and joined the Navy instead. When I did get married, I refused to take my husband's last name, I didn't want to lose my own identity. I never wore a wedding band because I didn't need one to know I was married. He's an ex-husband now, he foolishly thought resorting to violence would turn me into a "normal" woman. I will never forget the surprised look on his face when I gave him a beat down...I was a sailor, I've been in a few brawls. My boss learned the hard way that I fear no man and he now speaks to me with respect, being the union rep didn't hurt things either. My mother taught me to stand up for myself and take shit from no one. I have passed this down to my own daughter who is a Marine and a damn good one too.
