and Damned Proud of it!

Amanda

One day, I snapped. I looked at my life and realized that I was spending WAY too much energy attempting to rescue my friends from their shipwrecked lives. Not just once or twice, but, as in the case of one friend, ten or twelve times. I just finally had it. I let go of those who were pulling me down, and I rose back up.

Now if someone comes to me with a petty grievance or a problem that had been "solved" three or four times already, I say "deal with it on your own like a big girl (or boy)." And then I waste no more energy on it. Life is too short to worry about everyone else, and how they're messing up their own lives.

I'm just tired. Tired of self-involved people who expect the world to stop for their weekly drama. Tired of the "victims" who allow them selves to be used. And tired of whiny people who just WON'T LET GO. I have no time for them anymore.
