My life is my own. It does not belong to you. If I choose to share time, space, brain power and oxygen with you, that choice can be rescinded at any time, for any reason that I determine. This is true regardless of your relationship to me - lover, friend, or relative.

I will be truthful to my own needs and desires. I won't be deliberately cruel to you unless you deserve it. If that happens, you have only yourself to blame.

Life's too short to waste any of it. I respect myself enough to demand the life I deserve, and I will respect you to the same level unless you prove yourself unworthy of such consideration.

Shit happens. It's important to understand it and learn from it, and then MAKE CHANGES. I'm not perfect, and neither are you, so work on your own messes, and don't expect me to be your guidance counselor, chef, chauffeur, or mommy. You're an adult - figure it out.
