OK. I am 19 years old and a college sophomore. I have massive amounts of loans and work two jobs paying bills and etc. This is all ok with me. I don't want mommy and daddy handing me a nicely packaged false reality. I thrive on my independence.
Independence. What really makes me want to hurl is lack of it. On a college campus, nothing comes closer to the complete opposite of my mentality than the sorority girl, and I am ashamed to say I live with two of them. It's more like living with one person who happens to possess a live-in clone, actually.
You walk into our apartment and there are two pairs of puma trainers, two pairs of dior sunglasses, two pairs of matching pink juicy couture velour suits. Not only do they match on almost a daily basis, they look horrendous as well!
In addition to clothing, these girls also share men. Some asshole from the baseball team will be in our apartment the whole damn weekend. Friday night he'll be in one of their beds, and Saturday in the other's. Both of them will bitch about him later on too! HELLO, if he was an asshole to one of you, he certainly is not going to change over night for the other.
Another thing that really ticks me off is their steady flow of trivial little friends through our living area. On any given afternoon I can guarantee there will be several girls looking exactly like my roommates in our living room. I love how they gawk at me and ask, oh-so-sugary, "How ARE you?" or say something like "OMG I love your shoes, you are SO original." Shut-up you dumb, ugly, ungrateful, over tanned, over bleached ho. I seriously hope all of your goddamn coach bags burn in a fire!!!
These girls are so ungrateful! One of the twerps I live with yells at her mother daily about her wardrobe. I kid you not. Here's a recent story. This girl was granted a position of power in her little sorority. Her parents were happy for her...I have no idea why....and decided to get a necklace made that had her name and the sorority's symbol or whatever on it. It was white gold. The day it came in the mail the girl opened it up and immediately started to cry and call her mother a "Stupid cunt". The telephone call that ensued was along the lines of "Why would you not have it made from platinum?" I couldn't hold my tongue for this one. I had to say something. I tried to feel bad for her mother, but seriously, this is her own damn fault. If you don't want an ignoramus brat for a daughter than don't buy her everything, actually encourage her to use her mind instead of buying her life for her, don't send her hundreds of dollars every month when she's done NOTHING to earn it, and how about suggesting she get a job? A little dose of reality at age 20 might be a good idea.
These girls make me sick with their complaining, and catty stupid fights, and two-faced bullshit. The fact that they willingly submitted themselves to an organization that prides itself on making all its members homogenous is disgusting enough. The fact that this is achieved through a series of "sporting events", where the potential "sisters" are degraded, used, taken advantage of and shamed is just icing on the cake (which they would throw up anyway.) Girls you are ugly, ignorant, spoiled, annoying, and of no use to anyone. Go back to the pink fuzzy rock you crawled out from and drown in your ridiculousness. For all our sakes.
