Why Sharon is a Heartless Bitch
-
In 1974 while a soldier in the Women's Army Corps I
was told that the Commanding General of the WACs didn't
want me wearing men's fatigues (this was before they
issued them to women) and non-military issue black oxfords.
My response to my boss was, "When all the men in this office
(25 of them and I was the only female) start wearing their dress
uniform to work, then I will too. Until that day you can expect
to see me show up for work every day wearing these fatigues and
my comfortable shoes.
-
I was dating a wonderful hunk of a guy for a couple of
months long distance. When I drove to his home four states
away for a visit he said he "wanted to take care of my
daughter and I". Needless to say...I left the next day and
never looked back!
-
When the hot-shot attorney who works for my agency
refused to stop parking up close to the building even
though the building manager had issued a memorandum
prohibiting any employees without handicapped tags to
park up close, I called him and told him he couldn't
park there anymore. He said he'd take care of it. I said,
"so that means you won't park there anymore, right?" He
responded, "I can assure you as Deputy Director I'll take
care of it." Two days later he had a special "parking by permit
only" sign put up on the building right next to one of the
handicapped spaces. I filed a grievance the next day because
our building has six reserved for handicapped spaces and
six employees with handicapped tags, which leaves no spaces
for handicappped clients to park. Within two weeks all the
hot shots had gotten together and decided they would make all
the parking spaces up next to the building on the employee
entrance side into handicapped parking spaces, for a total
of six spaces on that side and four in front for clients.
Oh yeah.....they moved his sign across the alley in the "other"
parking lot! *sly grin*
