It's not menopause or PMS that's pissing me off, it's YOU Asshole!!!
Now that I'm almost 43 and starting to experience the first hints of
menopause I've noticed a big change in the demeanor of my male co-workers.
They can't be sure it's "That time of Month"...I'm too fucking old to take
it for granted! So my boss actually told me I should see a doctor. I looked
at him, white middle class male former Naval officer and professional good
guy and said, "Why is it not possible that I could just be angry or
abstracted or focussed (their favorite excuses for being assholes)? You
know, even Freud said, 'Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar'"
He stared at me in shock and dropped the subject.
And another thing! Why do they assume it's a compliment to say they consider
me, "One of the guys". What's so fucking great about that? Like I want to be
a narrow minded racist asshole who kills mammals for fun and likes to get in
fist fights? I don't think so, I have brains.
