No Idiots, PLEASE!
I work in the reference department of a large
academic library and let me tell you, I've gotten so darned SICK
of the whining and weak-mindedness of the majority of patrons I help every day.
What is the matter with these people? Can't they read? Why can't they follow
the most simple of instructions? It gets harder every day to not just tell
these people what I think and the job be damned! Let me be the first to
admit that sometimes I'm none too gentle with these idiots who can't follow
directions and read instructions and then blame ME because I happen to be
sitting on the other side of the desk.
My coworkers have often told me I shouldn't be so cold and heartless, but
I have absolutely no patience for this kind of idiocy.
