Mmmmm. Limoncello… had you been sitting back and relaxing, what would you’ve mixed it with?
Trust me, in less than a month the answer to this question will be pertinent.
    ;)

Had I been sitting back, relaxing, I would have been drinking it chilled, straight up, as I did tonight while watching a fun and quirky Canadian flick titled, “These Girls”.  The limoncello is wonderfully, ahem, POWERFUL, but smooth.  (You’ll get your chance to experience it soon enough…)

So, you’re saying I should give These Girls a try? I was wondering about that a lot. I like both Caroline Dhavernas (thanks to Wonderfalls) and David Boreanaz and was pleased when I saw they were in a movie together, but it was slammed hard by a number of reviewers. On the other hand, they also slammed Boreanaz’s Mr. Fix-It, which I liked a lot–yes, it’s a damned silly bit of fluff, but the one thing Boreanaz can do besides brooding is silliness–and he does silliness very, very well; he has a childlike glee in his silliness that really appeals to me. (But Heaven spare us any more of his ghastly Irish accent.) Since the only video store stocking it charges a hefty-ish fee, I’m being careful about it.

I thought “These Girls” was cute, light-weight fun. Not as good as “New Waterford Girl” – which was priceless, but still entertaining – had us openly guffawing throughout it. (But then, that might have been the effect of the limoncello. DAMN! That stuff is strong! It’ll put fluffy bunny slippers on your feet.) Not sure how much I’d pay to rent it, but it was on one of the movie channels for free and nothing better was on.
